Better Than Expected!
I'm 53 and have gone to a LOT of concerts. This was one of the best concerts I've ever been too. I also typically stay away from Key Arena concerts - not my favorite venue for music events. But seeing Sam Smith perform there made me change my mind. They did a great job with the acoustics - at least from where we sat - and it actually didn't feel "arena-ish". I did not give him enough credit for being a true entertainer. . and he absolutely IS an entertainer! Which is not easy to pull off when you don't play any instruments (in my opinion). And for this being their last stop on his North American tour you certainly couldn't tell. He seemed so sincere in his appreciation for Seattle and even threw out a few shoutouts for the Seahawks, which of course drove everybody crazy! He knows what he's doing for sure! Loved it - love him, so fun! We will go see him again - no doubt about it!
